B. J.'s Story
I married Sam Peyton (one of the river rats from Bolton) in 1949 - we had two children a daughter and son - lost our son several years ago. We live in World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida (my son-in-law is the developer of this area) - he,my daughter - Sherry and their three children live here at WGV. Have a daughter-in-law and a granddaughter in Charlotte. Katelyn is graduating college this year (ECU) and a grandson local Sam, also graduating UNF this year. My daughter in law Kathy also lives in Charlotte. Sam retired from Bellsouth and I retired from Equifax, as soon as we turned 55 years old.
Sam played golf until recently at our two courses here, the Slammer & Squire and the King & Bear. We also have the World Golf Hall of Fame here on the property We walk 3 1/2 miles daily - trying to keep from growing old, ha. We have had a great lfie since high school, we feel very lucky to be able to continue our walking and swimming in our pool for exercise. By the way, I was from the Grove Park area when I was in high school, lived in the Mason School area (BoltonRoad near Fairburn Rd. when in elementary school. Sam was a "river rat" from Bolton.
We have been married over 60 years and are still together - "they say opposites attract" - so I guess that's true.

We recently purchased the Peyton farm in Buchanan, GA (were part owner with Sam's brother, Boyce) . If you are wondering where Buchanan is - it is 50 miles west of Atlanta.) Great little town. .Hopefully we willl go more frequently than we have in past years. It's really not a bad trip from St. Augustine, FL - takes about 6 hrs..

nd l/2 mile walk - gets the day going. We still travel some, not as much as in the past, but we like to go to the Beach at Daytona, which we have plans to do soon. We have most of our family here so we see quite a bit of them, my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren (two youngest, grands - one local - Sam and one in North Carolina - Katelyn - are in college, both Seniors this year.

Just a short update. We are still residing in World Golf Village (St. Andrews neighborhood) and are still walking on a daily basis. We are both in good health (thank God for that) and do our best to stay fit and healthy. We find enough to do to occupy our time - I volunteer at the World Golf Hall of Fame several times a month - it's fun meeting people from all over the world.

We just returned from a great trip to Georgia - went to the farm (we are passing it on to our daughter, Sherry and son-in-law Jim plus their siblings Matt, Peyton and Sam). They will go more frequently and enjoy it - we are getting too old to make the trip often - this way it will receive more TLC from the younger generation. Going to the Florida Suns game tonight, not like going to the Braves (which we do some spring training games) but it's baseball. We still keep up with the Braves o n TV ..More later.

We are making plans to go to GA to the farm in the next 30 days or so. My daughter, Sherry and son-in-law Jim are going also. I'm sure there is lots that needs to be done there - grass is probably head high. I'm sure it will look better by the time we head back to Florida, I'll enlighten you as to our findings, etc. when I return. (see how many windows have been broken, etc.)
